The key themes and focus areas guiding the EUniverCities Network’s work for 2023–2025 are closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These are areas in which cities and universities can collaborate meaningfully and deliver tangible benefits to their communities and regions.

For the 2023–2025 working period, the EUniverCities Network has defined four key ambitions aimed at fostering long-term, structured, and impactful cooperation between cities and universities.

These ambitions form the strategic foundation of all network activities and are intended to unlock the full potential of university cities in Europe as drivers of innovation, social progress, and sustainable development.

Based on its strategic ambitions, the EUniverCities Network has developed an action plan for the period 2023–2025. This plan outlines concrete steps to put the network’s goals into practice and provides a clear operational framework for its activities.
